Responsibilities: Work closely with Housing staff and faculty to implement educational programs and foster an academic environment in assigned FYE (First Year Experience for Freshmen students) building on campus. Facilitate a residential learning component of a living-learning community in assigned building, organize and implement FYE Initiatives, meet individually with academically at risk residents, and overall be a contributing member of building’s staff by attending meetings and etc.

Why I would like to be a tutor: I want to use the skills and knowledge obtained through my education and experiences in Human Development and Family Studies, as an A.R.C. and experiences gained through my General Education courses at UW-Stout to improve upon the quality of both students and community; to be a team worker and offer my services to others. I want to help students be built up and confident in their learning abilities, study skills and talents. I know I would be able to help them succeed.

Award Description: A week of sex-education, safety and awareness was put on for the new freshmen residents in our building by the UW-Stout South Hall Housing Staff. Residents showed great interest in this subject, were very involved and found growth in learning about the importance of sex-eduaction, personal health and hygiene and sexual awareness.

HobbiesI am someone who enjoys to be outdoors, exercise, play music, doing "arts and crafts" and I really love to be around people. I am an extrovert and as an extrovert, meeting new people, making new friends, planning fun events or activities is something I love to do. I also love being around all ages of kids and hope to someday use my degree in Human Development and Family Studies to be a Pre-school teacher.
